Here are 3 ways that a good furniture restoration service such as Finish Pros can help your facility really shine.

1. Conference room table refinishing

When you hold meetings with clients in your conference room, it’s essential to maintain that professional image of credibility. Instead of replacing the table, let Finish Pros give its surfaces a complete makeover, complete with sanding away gouges and flaws and giving it a beautiful good-as-new finish.

In today’s competitive marketplace, all businesses must do everything they can to make a good first impression and keep their facilities looking as professional and polished as possible while keeping an eye on the bottom line. With the services offered by Finish Pros, you can have the look of new again without having to buy new: and that makes good business sense.

Great Vacations Create Life Lasting Memories

Posted on October 19th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

Not only is a vacation fun and relaxing, but they provide us wonderful memories for years to come. Some vacations stand out more than others. One favorite vacation spot is Island Park Idaho. My grandparents used to own a cabin that backed up to the reservoir. The location was the perfect mountain setting with clean air and freedom from many of the cares of the world. It was a heck of a lot of fun as well. We had our own dock with a boat, wave runners, and a paddle boat. We also had four wheelers and snow mobiles for adventures on the land. Some of my fondest memories are fishing for crawdads using some bacon tied to string and weighed down with a metal nut. We cooked them like tiny lobsters.

Another vacation spot we remember was in Orlando. This is a different type of vacation with them parks and attractions galore. We stayed in one of the elite Windsor Hills rentals to avoid at least a little bit of the commercialism, and reserved a rental car so we could come and go as we pleased. I think the thing that made this trip so memorable, is that I did not think about work one bit. The entire week was spend with my family, doing whatever we wanted to do, and we did a lot of fun things.

And how can I forget to mention the first cruise that my wife and I went on. We went on a Mexican Riviera cruise and lived the life of luxury. I had never knows what it felt like to be pampered so much. This was a vacation that we will certainly never forget.

Pesky Pest Problems In Jersey

Posted on October 16th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

Last week, we had a mouse on our elementary school’s playground. Needless to say, it was quite an eventful recess. All of the children were screaming and some of the adults, too. I have since come to the conclusion that there aren’t too many people who really even enjoy these little creatures. They are small, furry, and completely unpredictable not to mention they can carry some pretty scary diseases around with them. No one wants to spend all day at a school with mice running around. Naturally, we started thinking about ways to fix our rodent problem. Rather than try to catch them ourselves, we thought it would be best to get the school inspected by a great exterminator.

If you are also looking for great New Jersey pest control services, you should check out Horizon Pest Control. Just go to http://www.horizonpestcontrol.com to look at their website. This way, you will be able to see if this company will meet your pest control requirements. For example, they work in both residential and commercial properties. Also, they have been helping people with pest control in New Jersey for over 30 years. It is always good to choose an exterminator who has plenty of experience. I liked that they offer a free inspection. That way I will know what they think of our pest problem and give me an estimate first. If you have a pest that keeps giving you problems, whether it is at work or at home, do not spend any more time worrying. Call and get help from an exterminator today.

I Was Caught In The Trap Of Debt

Posted on October 13th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

We have all heard that it is bad to go into debt. Common sense tells us that we should not do it either. Why do we have such a problem with debt then? In my experience, I don’t think we understand how severe the consequences of debt can be. The best thing that could have happened to me was to have been taught Christian debt management. Years ago, in my college years I made some terrible financial decisions. The first was after I had completed my first summer sales job. I was ecstatic because in three and a half months I had earned over twenty thousand dollars. I was in need of a new car, and could have paid for the car I found in cash, however, thought I would build my credit, so put part of the car on a credit card; stupid move. I decided that it would be better for me to not work during the school year so I could better focus on my studies; also a stupid move.

By February I was close to running out of funds. I was in a singing group, and wanted to purchase some fancy recording equipment. I knew I would make some good money over the summer and justified that I could make the purchases now on credit, and just pay them off at the end of the summer. Well, I did well that summer, but did not hit the goals I thought I would back when I made those purchases. The story goes on, resulting in having eighteen thousand dollars of debt by the time I got married. Although I made plenty of payments towards it, I was not debt free until after being married for six years when we were able to sell our town home and use the equity to pay it all off in one. If we had not had that blessing, we would still have all of that debt. Debt is a terrible trap.

Some Different Types of Feminine Products and What They Can Do For You

Posted on October 10th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

All women of menstruating age are familiar with pads and tampons, but they may not know about all of the other feminine products available on the market that have been created specially to help women feel clean and comfortable all month long. Here’s a little synopsis of some of the most popular products.

– Douches: Many women like to use douching products to clean their vaginas more thoroughly and to deodorize as well. Most products are premixed combinations of vinegar, water, baking soda, iodine and fragrances that come in easy to use plastic disposable bottles. Douching should never be used as a method of birth control and it does not prevent STDs.

– Feminine cleansing wipes: A relative newcomer to the feminine products family, wipes are great to use during bathroom breaks, whether you are having your period or not. The cleansing agent contained therein is PH-balanced, allowing a woman to feel fresh, clean, and smelling sweet anytime.

– Feminine powder: Many women have problems with excess wetness and chafing in their vaginal areas during the course of the day. Feminine powder is a talc-free powder that uses corn starch to absorb moisture and eliminate odor and bacteria in tender places.

– Feminine spray: as its name implies, a spray is a product that can be applied to the vaginal for quick relief of embarrassing odor. Each manufacturer has special signature scents for their sprays that might include tropical rain, baby powder and floral.

As the examples above illustrate, there are plenty of quality and effective feminine products beyond pads and tampons that can help make a woman’s life more pleasant.

Choosing the Right Surety Bond Company

Posted on October 6th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

If you are a contractor, insurance agent, auto dealer, or in any other kind of business that regularly enters into contracts of performance and services, you know you need to be bonded. A surety bond protects both you as well as your prospective clients and opens doors that may have previously been closed to your business. You can purchase a surety bond from one of many different providers, but not all companies are created equal. Here are some things to look for when choosing the right bonding company for you.

– Are its Finances Secure?

A bonding company is only as good as the assets it has. If you purchase a surety bond from a fly-by-night outfit only to find out later that it cannot make a payout when necessary, you will be in some very real trouble. Make sure that the companies you are considering are financially sound and will be able to actually back you up if disaster strikes. Experience and longevity matter in this business.

– Does It Contract With Several Reputable Insurance Companies?

If a bonding company only deals with one insurer to handle your bonds, then you are always going to be bound to that insurer’s rates. By contracting with several insurance providers, a bonder can shop around on your behalf, getting the best rates possible. If you have less than stellar credit, find a bonder that works with programs for applicants in your position.

– Does it Provide Fast Service?

Look for a bonding company that will mail your bond to you as soon as possible. If you have good credit, it is not unreasonable to expect to receive your bond within 24 hours of purchase so that you can get right to work. Your time is valuable, so go with a provider that emphasizes excellent service and will get you exactly what you need at a great price.

Foundational Advice for Real Estate Beginners

Posted on October 6th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

If you have read any books on real estate investing, hopefully you caught on to the fact that consistent and thorough research is one of the best ways of educating yourself on real estate investing. Far too many wannabe real estate tycoons went out and overextended themselves on a losing property, only to doom their future in real estate. Their credit gets destroyed, as does their reputation. Their personal finances were stressed to the point of unimaginable stress. Ultimately they are worse off than when they began. Many never recover and because they got burned, swear off any type of investment ever again.

I remember one of the first pieces of advice I ever received on real estate, is to simply look into one hundred properties for every one that you purchase. You can view properties with signs out in the yard, or attend real estate auctions. Out of the one hundred you look at, ten of them will be good deals. Of the ten good deals, only three will accept your offer, and only one of those will be able to get financed. Daunting as this may seem, think about it for a minute. What knowledge and wisdom will this process give you? How much more likely is this purchase to be profitable will this be that the example in the first paragraph? If you repeated this process ten times, how likely do you think it will be to fulfill your dream of becoming a real estate tycoon?

The Career of a Postal Worker

Posted on October 1st, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

Working as a finance coach and helping people with their incomes, I have been asked by some clients what it takes to get a job as a postal worker. At the time, I did not have any idea, but did know that the income and benefits were quite good.

Postal workers can work in any number of tasks in the post office, such as receiving letters or packages, selling postage or stamps, selling money orders, placing mail in sorting mail racks or bags, according to the address, and check mail for the correct postage amount. Other positions include carrier, maintenance technician, etc. Employees of all positions have postal uniforms.

There are usually significantly higher applicants than openings so the competition is high for the position of postal worker. Prior to an interview, applicants are required to take the Battery 470 exam. This is to filter out those who could not succeed at the job and tests you one number series, address checking and memory. Those applicants with the highest scores are the first ones interviewed. Applicants typically have a wait of one to two years after passing the exam before being hired.

To begin this process, contact your local post office to learn of positions available and the date of the next Battery 470 exam. There are study guides available to help you prepare for the exam. It is better to be overly prepared than under prepared. When you do get invited for an interview, you will be questions about your abilities and strengths.

A Few Cold Weather Tips For New Mail Carriers

Posted on September 30th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

If you are a new mail carrier for the US Postal service and have a regular delivery route, you’re no doubt already well acquainted with the idiosyncrasies of the neighborhoods you service, the ins and outs of postal uniforms, and the names of most of the area’s dogs! But with autumn coming on and its accompanying cooler temperatures, it seems that a few tips for handling cold weather are in order.

– Wear layers: Postal uniforms codes are strict, but they do not prohibit how much a carrier can wear underneath on freezing cold days! Stick with your approved sweaters and windbreakers on top, but do not hesitate to wear long underwear and other layers underneath! Layering means that you can take off or add a few items of clothing in your truck depending on the changes in temperature.

– Wear wool socks: It is very difficult to keep the rest of your body warm once your feet get cold and damp. Wool not only repels outside water naturally, it also keeps feet well insulated against freezing temperatures.

– Wear a hat: Statistics show that a good 30% of body heat can be lost through the head if a hat is not being worn. There are several tricks to retain heat by wearing a hat: the first is to put it on BEFORE you get cold. You also need to wear a warm hat that “breathes” well in order to prevent cold sweatiness. Make sure the hat also covers your ears since their delicate tissues and physical exposure make them particularly prone to frostbite.

Being able to work outdoors is a great blessing, but in order to stay healthy and on the job, mail carriers have to take the precautions necessary to stay warm!
