Strategies for Your Marketing Campaign

Posted on February 23rd, 2009 in Interactive by NewsCrawler

To sell a product you have to have a good advertising or marketing plan; the goal of this plan is to get consumers to buy your product. A good plan will use a few different ways to reach the consumers, such as a zip code mailing list, newspaper ads, and even internet marketing. The more exposure you have for the product, the better your chances become of it selling.

Using a zip code mailing list in your marketing campaign can be beneficial because it enables you to target a specific area of consumers. If you’re marketing a product that can only be found in Salt Lake City, for example, you don’t want to be mailing advertisements for the product to people in Colorado. It wouldn’t make sense and it would be a waste of money. Use your mailing lists to contact your target consumers.

Newspaper ads are a great way to advertise as well because millions of people read the newspaper. Also, since newspapers are local you are again able to reach the consumer that will benefit most from what you are selling.

The internet is the best way to reach a world-wide audience. So, if you are selling a product that doesn’t have to be localized, you will absolutely want to do some internet marketing. Of course, a local product will benefit from this as well. Either way you will want to make sure it’s part of your plan.

These three techniques will enable you to potentially reach millions of consumers, depending on the investment you are willing to put into it, and the more you can advertise, the more you’ll sell.

Using Viral Video to Promote Your Business

Posted on July 11th, 2008 in Interactive by NewsCrawler

The video industry has grown exponentially during the past few years. Websites like YouTube have pioneered a new era for online video – one that has changed the face of advertising, politics, and entertainment forever by offering millions of users to upload and share a seemingly unlimited number of videos.

Many politicians, artists, and musicians have successfully used viral videos to promote their work and advance their careers. In addition, some viral video “stars” have become legitimized by the sheer number of views they have received. From “Don’t Tase Me Bro!” to Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain”, some of these amateur video stars are making a splash. In fact, Tay Zonday found almost instant celebrity and was immediately booked on several talk shows in addition to signing an endorsement deal with Dr. Pepper.

Is Jay Leno and Pet Clothing?

Posted on October 31st, 2007 in Interactive by NewsCrawler

Fans of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno know that one of Jay’s biggest pet peeves is people who dress up their pets. While there are almost certainly a good number of people who agree with him, is Jay’s opinion in the minority? Considering the profitability of the pet-clothing business, one has to wonder.

Paris Hilton Dog dressupDogs in New York are particularly lucky (or unlucky depending on your point of view) as there is no shortage of pet stores carrying pet clothing in the highly fashionable Big Apple. The truth of the matter is that Jay Leno, along with his loyal following of fans, has no choice but to put up with the trend of dressing one’s pets. Indeed, Paris Hilton has even appeared on the Tonight Show with her dog, Tinkerbell, all dressed up (the dog that is).

That a dog store in New York can do so well says a lot about not just New Yorkers, who are known for their advanced fashion tastes, but for the country as well. New York is a fashion pathfinder and if you aren’t already seeing dressed up dogs everywhere you go, you soon will be.

Your best strategy may be to simply join the crowd, because you certainly aren’t going to beat them. Personally, I like Canine Styles. They’ve got dog accessories up the wazoo, including dog sweaters, dog coats, dog collars, and other dog apparel, and they’ve been at it for nearly a half century. Need a diamond-studded dog leash? Check out one of Canine Styles’ three New York City locations, or visit them on the Web.

So give in and slap that dog coat on your beloved friend. Show the world that she’s a dog of New York!

Oh, as an aside, I should mention that no automatic submissions will be excepted and nothing of an adult nature will even be considered. Oh, in fact, if you have a site for “diet pills” you need not apply. Happy submissions!
