The New Wave of Custom-Designed T-Shirts

Posted on July 1st, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

Generally, whenever we hear the words “custom-made t-shirts,” we immediately conjure up images of gaudy sports uniforms or tacky family reunion shirts–the types of clothes worn once and then stuffed to the bottom of the drawer, only to emerge as a paint shirt or something.

But now, that stigma can finally be erased.

Sofi Clothing offers an exciting opportunity to custom design your own bling t-shirt into something you or someone you know would actually like to wear. Based out of Los Angeles, Sofi Clothing is a family owned business that takes orders and ships its product all over the United States. Thanks to the flexibility and access of the Internet, you can support this mom-and-pop store from anywhere and at anytime.

The Sofi Clothing website is formatted to be user friendly and easy to browse. You simply select the type of person you’re designing the shirt for, decide on the size and color, and then pick one of many designs you want imprinted on the shirt. You can choose from a wide assortment of rhintestone t-shirt designs, shapes, or lettering.

The best part about it is that as you narrow down your choice of color, size, and design, you’ll see a picture of what the final product will actually look like. This allows you to try out a number of different designs before you actually decide on something specific. And with selections from infants to young girls and boys to ladies’ sizes, you’re bound to something perfect for yourself or someone else you have in mind.

It’s time to take back the bad rep of custom rhinestone t-shirts and show off its potential–Sofi Clothing can help with that.

Food is an Interesting Thing

Posted on June 30th, 2009 in Tips and Tricks by NewsCrawler

I love to prepare food, experiment with food, and especially eat food. If you think about it, though, it is crazy to think about how much of our life we spend on our meals. If we were to add up all the preparation time, eating time, clean up time, and when eating out, the travel time, we can easily use up half of every day just on food.

Something else that is interesting to me is how our taste for food can change and evolve. As a youth I had my mealtime favorites of pizza, lasagna, hamburgers, etc. I ate my vegetables when required, but did not enjoy them at all. Now I have a large vegetable garden of my own. I look forward to the harvest of my squash, broccoli, and spinach. I previously did not like any type of fish, however, with the encouragement of my wife, I now love salmon and halibut.

We have an amazing selection of restaurants to choose from. One night we might make our selection from the gourmet Louisiana grills. The next we may choose a Chinese Cuisine. Today, more than ever, many of the choices we have include healthy eating as well.

Experimenting with my own cooking has really opened my eyes to the diversity of foods and tastes. You would never guess that adding a spoonful of peanut butter to hummus, and then mixing that together with salsa would be an amazing dip for chips. Food is an interesting thing – especially is you use a Louisiana grill to really bring out the unique flavors of each dish.

Medical Transcription Qualifications and Finding a Job

Posted on June 30th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

So lately I have been looking for a job since my current job, I feel is soon going to come to an end. I have been working at this physical therapy office and there is only one Physical Therapist. He basically owns his own company is seriously the worst person for the job. I mean he is a great Physical Therapist but when it comes to running his own business, he is terrible. He never gives any positive feedback and he will not tell you something is wrong until he blows up in your face. So this is what has been leading me to my job hunt. I started out on craigslist, which was unsuccessful and then I moved on to going straight to some hospitals websites. I first went to Intermountain Healthcare and I applied to numerous jobs. But some of them had the qualification of

medical transcription

. I had no idea what that was so I did some research. I learned that medical transcription is the process of converting voice-recorded reports as dictated by physicians and other healthcare professionals into text format. After I realized that, I recalled from my previous job how the doctors would talk into a phone and I guess it was being recorded into medical transcription. After I found that out, there were many jobs that I realized I could not apply for. I looked around some more and found a couple phlebotomy jobs but I don’t have a lot of experience so we will just have to wait and see. Know that I know what medical transcription is, and that I obviously am not qualified in that area, I will continue on my search for my dream healthcare job.

What Do the Rich Collect?

Posted on June 28th, 2009 in Things to Buy by NewsCrawler

Most of us have a hobby. Often times this hobby involves building a collection of something. Some people collect spoons or shot glasses from places around the world. Youth and children collect and trade sports card, Pokemon cards, or whatever the current fad is. In my day, I collected basket ball cards, Garbage Pail Kids cards, and muscle men. I wish I could say that my collection is now worth millions but, well, I cannot.

Collecting money has always been an interesting one, and in my mind would be quite an expensive hobby. I met a man who would always make purchases with cash, and then inspect all the bills and coins for collectables. He was not looking for your typical, old or rare coin, however. Instead, he would look for unique pattern. For example, he might find a ten dollar bill that has a serial number with the sequence 52525 in it. He explained how difficult it would be to find, and then explained the next step in the challenge. Imagine if you had three ten dollar bills, one with the above sequence, the second with the sequence 62626, and the third containing the sequence 72727. I thought it was interesting, but the challenge is that every bill you found that had something unique, you would have to keep. In the case of the man I met, he was broke, and risked being evicted from his rental home, and yet had thousands of collected dollars in a binder.

Imagine what the wealthy collect. A popular one that I came across is watches or time pieces as they call them. Collecting automatic winding watches is a favorite, but imagine the cost. This brings up a challenge, however, in that you typically only wear one watch at a time, yet these watches, in order to keep correct time and stay properly lubricated, require movement. Well, as you probably guessed, you can buy a watch winder. There is even a company that makes luxurious watch winders for you to display your collection pieces in. Try Buben and Zorweg for example, and you will see how elaborate this hobby has become. Imagine then, begin a collection of watch winders.

Finding Records Storage in Chicago

Posted on June 26th, 2009 in Uncategorized by NewsCrawler

Some small business owners find that they love spending everyday doing the type of business they started, but they absolutely dread the job of keeping all the paperwork organized. It’s very important that every business keep detailed accurate records of all business transactions so that everything is accounted for. This helps keep track of all incoming and outgoing funds. If you have any experience with small businesses, you know that the paper load can sometimes seem to double overnight. That’s why business owners need to have a very organized system to keep track of all their records so if the day ever comes when they will need to show them, records will be easily found.

One way to do this is by using a records storage company. At www.r4services.com, a Chicago records storage company discusses all the services available that they offer to small businesses. This company will store your businesses records and have them delivered to you whenever you may need them. They make sure that these records are safe and secure while they are stored and while they are delivered. Records usually don’t need to be kept for too long and when the day comes that you can destroy old files, this company will take care of their destruction for you. After the files are shredded, they will provide a Certificate of Destruction. Using a business like this is just another way that you can keep your small business organized.

Listeners Look to NFL Speaker for Motivation and Inspiration

Posted on June 26th, 2009 in 6 by NewsCrawler

In a world of growing pessimism and discouragement people are hungry for hope and inspiration. After constantly hearing, “no, you can’t do that” or even, “you’ll never accomplish that” people want to realize “yes I can.”

Karl Mecklenburg, highly touted NFL Speaker, former Denver Bronco captain and All-Pro player strives to deliver hope and strategies for success in each of his presentations. For Karl, success is not an issue of talent, for according to Karl each of us has been blessed with more talent than we’ll ever realize. Rather, success becomes a matter of choice-a choice of how we manage the inherent talent we have.

Rising up from the “underrated” ranks as a 12th round draft pick in the NFL to six Pro Bowl and three Super Bowl appearances, Karl draws on years of experience as a pro football player in order to paint a picture of success and optimism for his listeners with the intent of instilling key strategies for success: teamwork, courage, honesty, forgiveness, dedication and goal setting.

Karl’s audiences are as vast and varied as the unique talents which he feels are in each of us. From students, to corporate leaders, to PTA moms Karl’s message finds listening ears wherever he goes. Again and again he strives to instill the “success as a possibility” mindset whatever the situation; work, relationships, home, and even personal battle fields. For Karl, there is no quick fix-long term, positive change is the only solution. Karl is a story teller-the journey of life filled with success and optimism his hallmark.

Keynote Speakers

Posted on June 24th, 2009 in 6 by NewsCrawler

A key note is the note that determines the key in which a song will played or sung. Similarly a “key”note speaker is a speaker who delivers a message to set the tone for a meeting or convention.

Almost all large conventions and gatherings feature a keynote speaker. For instance, the Democratic and Republican national conventions feature the presidential candidate as the keynote speaker whose responsibility it is to set the tone and the underlying message for the political campaign and to inspire enthusiasm in their audience.

Whether national or local, conventions, meetings, and other events occur among groups of people who have a common interest–whether it’s a religious commonality or a community, service, or business commonality. No matter the event or the shared aim, a skilled keynote speaker can help motivate and inspire the specific audience of any event.

The key to a good keynote speaker is to get someone who has name recognition or accomplishments so that the audience will be excited for the speaker and will be more apt to pay attention during the address. Also, someone with unique experience is ideal because he or she may have exciting experiences to share and illustrate principles.

For instance, a good motivational speaker who speaks at a variety of events to deliver an array of different messages is Karl Mecklenburg. A former NFL player for the Denver Broncos, Mecklenburg is an NFL speaker who is not only a skilled speaker, but also has a plethora of unique professional and personal experiences to help inspire audiences.

Whatever the event, the right motivational speaker can inspire your audience with the desire to change, improve, or take an interest in whatever cause you’re promoting.

Moving Service in Boston

Posted on June 19th, 2009 in Tips and Tricks by NewsCrawler

Moving is a pain. Everything about it is inconvenient. There are never enough boxes on hand, I can never remember where I packed my toothbrush, and words can’t express how much I loved moving my entertainment center and cinder blocks up to my second-story apartment. In the last four years, I’ve moved seven times, and I’m currently planning my eighth move. Whether I’m moving 2,000 miles across the country or to a neighboring complex, I have always used the same moving strategy: stuff as much of my stuff as possible in my white Pontiac and go. Unfortunately, this moving approach has not always been effective. In my haste and irritation, I never pack well, and my belongings–including my favorite shelves and books–have been damaged.

After my last move, I swore I would never move again without help–and finding help isn’t has hard as I thought it would be. In Boston, moving services such as Brookline Moving Co., offer fabulous services to help people move, no matter where you’re going. Aside from moving and packaging services, they provide

storage in Boston

to keep belongings safe until your ready to move them. The services that companies like Brookline Moving Co. provide are definitely worth looking into, especially if you, like me, want to actually look forward to your move instead of pulling your hair out at the thought of it. Hiring a mover in Boston is easy and worth every penny. Now, nothing’s stopping me from starting my collection of 16-pound bowling balls.
